After hundreds of votes towards the Best in Boston contest, we must thank our current and former couples, our family and our friends for supporting us in the endeavor. We were completely humbled by the outpouring of support for JPod Productions.  We have always striven to be the Best Videographer in Boston and we will continue to push ourselves to become better each weekend and each year.

This week’s tip will probably benefit most brides on their honeymoon as much as it will on their wedding day. Everyone wants to have awesome, six-pack abs, but how do we get there? First of all, great abs do not come without the correct diet and that can not be emphasized enough. Once that is in place, Ashley has a variety of great exercises to target all areas of your core.

One of the things that stuck out to me about this wedding was how involved Mike was in the whole wedding process. Annie definitely has a keeper! Mike’s thoughtful personality was something that was highlighted during the best man speech and was a big reason why this wedding when off without a hitch. Additionally, Mike’s groomsmen were a positive influence on the day, as they were on the dance floor as much as the ladies. And I’ve said it before, the bride and groom drive the dance floor and this night was a perfect example of that. If the bride and groom dance, everyone dances!

Mike and Annie were married at St. John’s Parish in Agawam with the reception at the scenic Log Cabin in Holyoke. Annie had a sweet pair of “Champagne Goggles” shoes by Hey Lady and a dress from Bancroft Bridal. Some awesome local vendors surrounded us as the couple built in enough time for Dave and Eileen Breveglerei from Breveglerei Photography and us to have an awesome photo session. Add that to a great party atmosphere created by DJ Brian Nicks from Brian Nicks Productions, and you have an awesome Boston wedding video production in Western Massachusetts.

The months before a wedding can be very busy with wedding appointments, checklists to finish, and late nights at work. Therefore, this week we address what you can do when you are too busy to get to the gym or your favorite group activity. Ashley has a a bunch of great exercises that can easily be done at home to keep your wedding fitness routine on track. You do not need much equipment to still get in an awesome workout! Eating right all of the way up to your wedding day is important, but Ashley has a plan for the final month before the wedding to shape your body to look its absolute best! This week Ashley addresses the number one request that brides have for physical trainers when they want to get in shape for their wedding day – getting rid of under arm fat! As with many improvements that you want to make to your body, it will take working on multiple areas to improve the one your targeting. Under arm fat is no exception. So our week two tip – Get rid of under arm fat!

Our trainer is Ashley Brodeur who is the owner of Active Lifestyle Fitness, LLC. I love Ashley’s approach to fitness as she focuses on Boot Camp and TRX-style classes that truly tone muscles and burn massive calories simultaneously. Add that combination to the right diet of healthy foods and correct eating habits, and brides will have the opportunity to look their best on their wedding day.

JPod Productions and Active Lifestyle Fitness have teamed up for six video fitness tips to be released each Wednesday over the next six weeks. They will be sprinkled between our Boston wedding videos and other blog articles. Up first, Ashley addresses the amount of time that is needed to make noticeable improvements to a bride’s physical appearance. You can’t wait until the last minute!

One of the reason’s I chose to post this wedding clip was because of the personal touches that Allyson put into three separate gifts for two aunts and her Mom. The three gifts are the backbone of the first part of the wedding film and they really set the tone for the wedding day. The personal touches are what makes the personality of this film different from many of the other ones we have edited in recent months. The film also opens up with a part of the speech given by the Father-of-the-Bride, Pete Cronan. I am a strong proponent of a welcome speech from the father-of the-bride, as the fathers always seem to speak from the heart and this day was no different. Other great vendors we worked with were the awesome Boston band Men in Black, Alicia Schneider Photography, and one of my favorite Boston caterers, the Catered Affair. Later in the month, I was approached by Rule Boston Camera to give a 2-hour presentation called a “Crash Course in Wedding Videography / Cinematography”. The presentation was part of Rule Boston’s weekly educational series called the Learning Lab. In this wedding videography presentation, I joined New England Professional Videographers Association (NPVA) President Bob Accettullo to speak about the fundamentals of shooting a wedding. A healthy crowd of wedding videographers and cinematographers, documentary filmmakers and professional photographers came to here many of the tricks that we use to get through a fast-paced wedding day. Many of the audience participants were curious how we shoot in numerous locations with different lighting situations, what cameras we use, how we collect our sound, how we stay unobtrusive throughout the day, and how we approach the editing process, as we turn our raw footage into Boston wedding videos.
