I met Emily and Andrew Cleary through a family connection and after our first conversation, I knew that they were the perfect fit for our company. It was the first of two weddings that we had during a busy weekend just after Valentine’s Day, and it was another mild winter day in downtown Boston. It was just warm enough to sneak outside for a photo session with the rest of the events taking place inside the Four Seasons Boston.

Emily and Andrew were married in the elegantly decorated Governor’s Room at the Four Seasons, with Lotus Designs Flowers giving the room every beautiful touch imaginable from flower petals down the aisle runner, to a variety of candles romanticizing the room, to breathtaking floral arrangements near the front of the aisle. Officiant Elly Jackson did a wonderful job telling the story of Emily and Andrew, which was the backbone of the ceremony and the movie trailer below.

After the cocktail hour, guests moved into the Four Seasons Ballroom for the reception, which was even more spectacular with Susan B. Lowell Lighting Design illuminating the room perfectly. Greg Hodges of 5 Star Events DJ led the couple in with an energy-building introduction that even included a surprise from the father of the groom. Greg’s music created a fabulous atmosphere for the guests all night long. We were so blessed to work with even more tremendous vendors all day and night, as Philip Deschamps and the catering staff at the Four Seasons Boston were great. Lisa Rigby of Lisa Rigby Photography (pictures attached to link) was just a pleasure to work alongside, and the cake from Icing on the Cake was beautiful and delicious (yep, I had to try the red velvet tier at the end of the night). Helping Emily look her best were Lindsey B. of Jorgo Salon (Hair) and Dani Wagener (make-up), while her dress was a design from Kenneth Pool.

This was the last of a long stretch of weddings for us this fall, but what a way to end! From the beginning, there was just something about Stephanie and Mike, as we just had an instant connection. Stephanie was one of those very organized brides, who didn’t let the details get in the way of having an awesome wedding day. It was simply, a beautiful fall New England wedding.  I love using dramatic music for movie trailers, but as much as I wanted to go that route, my instincts told me that the music had to reflect the couple. This song emanates the joy, the love, and the emotion that this day had from beginning to end.

Stephanie and Mike, also known as Bird and Birdette, kept things in their hometown with a ceremony at the Hope Community Church in Feeding Hills and a reception at the Oak Ridge Golf Club. It was a pleasure to work along side George and Barbara Schaler of Schaler Photography for the second time this season and Big Dan Marshall handled the DJ duties. CJC Event Lighting did a tremendous job with the uplighting and thanks to Maureen Bellucci Salon for welcoming us in for the early bride prep coverage. The salon footage will be forthcoming in the feature film.

As the fall weddings wind down and the winter (yep, I said it) editing season gets under way, we should have a barrage of clips being released over the coming months. The stretch of clips will start with a couple of wedding movie trailers being released this week and next week.

Jess and Seth’s were the early birds who booked my most coveted Sunday date in JPod history. They were one of five couples who were hoping to book the date. Jess was actually the first bride to book a date for 2011 and that should give you an idea that this bride was organized. I like that! Mr. and Mrs. Hopkins were married in downtown Pittsfield at First Baptist Church with a reception at the neighboring Crown Plaza. We had a beautiful photo shoot in the Pittsfield State Forest. The first look gave a sunny view of the valley and then we moved to a great, shadier location near one of the highest natural bodies of water in Massachusetts – Berry Pond.

Great vendors were all around us as Melissa Coe of Melissa Coe Photography came back to her home side of the state and DJ Dan Cavanaugh of And the Beat Goes On DJ rocked it out as always. Janet Brennan was awesome at the Crown Plaza while Cakes by Dai created a beautiful cake which gets a close-up cameo in the trailer. The dress came from Special Day at Deidre’s which Jessica raved about on her wedding day.

I decided to go mainstream with the music as a change of pace from some of our previous wedding movie trailers. This is a song I have been looking to use for a while and it fit perfectly for Jess and Seth as the anticipation of the day, two years in the making, was the focus of this trailer. More cinematic music will is on tap for next week, so check back in and enjoy the show….

We met Tarryn and Jordan through a bride who recommended us on the Knot. I had a few great conversions with Tarryn on the phone during the planning process, but we did not meet until a few days before the wedding. After that pre-wedding meeting at a coffee shop in West Hartford, I knew that her wedding was going to be a great one!

The only thing thing that really didn’t go Tarryn & Jordan’s way was the weather, as some rain moved in just before their ceremony. We were able to salvage a short photo session outside though and everything else went off without a hitch inside. This video is a preview of their Feature Film which will be delivered later this year.

The ceremony took place at St. Mary Parish in Stamford, Connecticut before we headed to the Surf Club in New Rochelle, New York for the reception. For all of you future brides, if you are looking for a reception on the water, there are a cool string of reception venues in this area.  I had fun working alongside Cheryl from Image Photography, while Mike and his guys from Top Notch Music Productions took care of the dance floor and photobooth.

Aimee and Mike had one of those perfect wedding days where everything went perfectly and it couldn’t have happened to two nicer people. Aimee and Mike started dating a long time ago, but it was until more recently that their friendship blossomed into something much bigger. From the incorporation of Mike’s time serving his country, to Amy’s days at Ohio State, to the tight bond between Aimee and her Dad, the wedding just had great personality.

Wedding trailers are designed to give couples a taste of their upcoming wedding film. They are delivered via the internet less than two weeks after the couple says “I do”, and they will build up the anticipation for the final edited product. The trailers are built around the couple’s personalities and our goal is to make each one unique. In this clip, Aimee’s sister tells about the couple’s early dating adventures, which is only part of the story. When you watch the complete wedding film, you realize that Mike’s mother was hoping that these two East Longmeadow natives may someday get back together. It was a wish that Mike’s Mom shared with Aimee’s Dad one day at a local convenience store. It’s all about the story!

I worked with some great professionals, as Lyn Ash of Ashlyn Photography worked extremely hard to get great pictures in multiple locations. Former vendor of the Month Bob Raina kept the floor packed at the scenic Log Cabin in Holyoke. Because we had to stop at multiple locations, Deluxe Limo was another key element in making the day run so smoothly.
